Delicious and Easy Fresh Peach Pie

Fresh Peach Pie - Delicious and Easy

This fresh peach pie is absolutely delicious and so easy to make.   My family absolutely loves it and, if I would make it, would eat it every day.

The first time I made it, I managed to get one spoonful before it disappeared!

I let it cool and got a little spoonful to try just before I went to bed.  I got up the next morning and the pan was EMPTY!  My husband had eaten the entire pie after I went upstairs!

When I asked him about it, he got this innocent look on his face – “Gee, I didn’t realize you were saving if for something, but you could just make another one today, we still have peaches!”

Fill the pie pan

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Butter a glass pie plate and fill with fresh peeled and sliced peaches.  Leave about 1/2″ at the top.

Batter ready to cover the peaches.

Combine sugar, egg, butter, milk, flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt in a separate bowl.  Mix until batter is smooth.

Pour batter over peaches

Pour batter over peaches and put in preheated oven.  Bake for 30 minutes or until a fork inserted in center of pie comes out clean.

Watch closely or it'll be gone in a blink.

Set aside to cool.  But watch it closely or hubby and kids will devour it before you can turn around twice!  Add a scoop of ice cream and everyone will swoon!

This little spoonful was the total of what I got to eat…  hubby ate the entire pie after I went to bed.  Got up the next morning and the empty dish was in the kitchen sink!

Fresh Peach Pie… a family favorite

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Butter a glass pie plate.  ***
  3. Peel and slice fresh peaches to a 1/2″ from top of pie plate.  **********
  4. In a medium mixing bowl combine:
             3/4  c. sugar,
             1 egg,
             2 T.  “This Can’t Be Butter”,
             1/2  c. milk,
             1 c. flour,
             1 tsp. baking powder,
             1 tsp. vanilla,
             pinch salt

Pour batter over the peaches.  Bake for 30 minutes or until a fork comes out clean when inserted to the middle of the pan.

***  Note:  I’ve used a 9×12 pyrex rectangular dish instead of a pie pan… works great.

*********   Fresh blackberries can be substituted for peaches…. wonderful – Mmmmm!
