99 Ways To Use Cleaning Erasers

Cleaning erasers work great on glass top stoves

I’ve been a fan of Magic Erasers for years ever since I watched my friend, Wendy, clean her daughter’s leather band shoes They were really grimy and muddy, but she took one of those little sponges, dampened it with water and went to work on them.   In just a few seconds, they looked almost NEW!

I was amazed! They became a staple in my cleaning supplies in short order, but I was careful how I used them, because they were rather pricey.   I found more and more uses for them and it became really clear that either I was going to have to cut back on using them OR find a way to make them myself.

Obviously I wasn’t the only person with that idea, because I found a DIY version without any trouble.   If you missed my post on “How To Make Your Own Magic Eraser’s” check it out here .

  1. Cheryl, this summer dad left his Lincoln parked in the hot Georgia weather for about 4 months with the windows completely closed. He came home from a trip to Mold and mildew all over the leather interior of the car. A little bit of time and effort and several “magic sponges” took all of it away. The car looks new again. Afterwards we put a small bucket of damp-rid in the car to take out the excess moisture that started the whole problem and we still have a great looking car.

    1. My stars I would have never thought about the car getting mold that way. Glad it cleaned up ok. Just another way to use the sponges.
